Dev Patel’s directorial ‘Monkey Man,’ initially planned for an OTT release, gained attention with its recent trailer. Jordan Peele acquired the rights and felt the film deserved a theatrical release, securing it in partnership with Universal Pictures. According to reports Monkey Man was initially sold to Netflix for $ 30 million.
